And for those Cadets who show extreme proficiency, are then awarded individual soaring training scholarships, funded by the “ASI “Billy Goat” Scholarship Fund, under the supervision of very experienced FAA Certified Flight Instructors Glider training… since 1998, the “Billy Goat” scholarship fund, which is managed by the Air Sailing, Inc. Board of Trustees, which is a IRS 501 c-3 Non=Profit Educational Organization, and yours truly, as the Founder and Scholarship Director. The Billy Goat” Youth Soaring Scholarship Program has given thousands of hours of Aviation Ground School Instruction… as well as more than 2000 Glider “Orientation Instruction Rides” to Cadets over the years, and has trained and “Soled” numerous JRROTC Cadets… to “Student Pilot” FAA tickets, as well as offered advanced flight training to Cadets in obtaining their “Private Pilot” Glider Rating, many of whom have now gone onto the Air Force Academy, and beyond… and are NOW Military Pilots… and FLYING for the USA…!
